AUREA CONSULTANCY NAME AND LOGO PHILOSOPHY
The name AUREA means ‘gold’ in Latin, and refers to the Golden Ratio. Our logo consists of a hexagon and Phi symbol; the number 1,618 that expresses the Golden Ratio, which is present in the universal growth spiral for development in nature. The Fibonacci sequence, the mathematical code aligned with the Golden Ratio, was published in 13th century Tuscany by the Italian Leonardo Pisano (Fibonacci) in his book Liber Abaci. Fibonacci was educated in the Arab world, and introduced the Arabic numerals in medieval Europe. He bridged the Arab and Western world and was considered as one of the most talented scholars of his time. The Fibonacci growth spiral appears in galaxies, the human body, animals, architecture, flora, fauna and landscape formations. Hexagons and honeybee hives are a perfect expression and symbol of the Golden Ratio and the Fibonacci sequence. AUREA also refers to alchemy or chrysopoeia; the art of transmuting metal into gold.
